Green With Envy
From cabinets to induction cooking and color to sustainability, green is having a moment in kitchen design this year.
Green brings the outdoors in can make a kitchen feel fresh and airy. It also provides a sense of calm to any space.
Our MacArthur project exemplifies this theory and includes an induction cooktop for sustainable living. We love how the photos by Ian Michelman look! View more on our website and let us know what you think.
Our Swansea remodel also includes an induction cooktop, an increasingly popular option as studies find that "cooking with gas' is not such a gas.
We reported in our Jan/Feb 2023 newsletter about the rising dangers of gas cooking. Natural gas combustion creates nitrogen oxide (NO2) and methane—two greenhouse gas pollutants that affect health and the environment and lawmakers are pushing to ban gas as a means for emissions reduction.
The perimeter cabinets will have stained alder cabinets will surround the new island with painted green base cabinets and a waterfall edge.
