The tranquility of custom-designed and minimalist elements, juxtaposed with the depth of bold and colorful artwork, truly delivers a harmonious design.
Located in a tony suburb of Washington, DC, masterpieces from the likes of iconic Artist Frank Stella are displayed throughout this home and served as inspiration for the interior design.
A custom-designed credenza and minimalist decor give this cozy dining room the illusion of a larger space, while the strikingly bold blue paint on the ceiling and built-ins provide a dynamic effect.
The gourmet kitchen was designed to be as beautiful as it is functional for the homeowner and professional caterer. An extra large island provides ample work space and seating, and well-thought details provide daily conveniences for efficient flow.
Lush textures and rich materials were infused into this home, such as the dramatic wallcovering adorning the living room built-ins, creating a spectacular backdrop for the homeowner’s stunning art collection and vibrant anthology.
The challenge of storage typical of smaller dining rooms is appeased with a custom-fitted credenza with a depth of 15″ to accommodate flow in the room.
A third custom piece is the console table in the living room with contrasting white and ebony finishes for a decidedly bespoke look.
The powder room is a delightful surprise with its pop of color and modern fixtures. A palette of neutral tones and lush fabrics creates a sanctuary in the master bedroom for the homeowners to escape their industrious lives.
The kitchen opens to the family room, and is designed to maximize entertaining with plenty of comfortable seating at the table, large sectional and captain's chairs.
A beautiful lithograph by American Artist Alex Katz greets you in the foyer, along with several other midcentury masterpieces.
