We were so moved by the innocence of this trending video we decided to share it as part of this week’s blog, which isn’t really a blog at all, but more of an appeal.

Last month we wrote about a partnership with the National Center for Children and Families, in which we are transforming the home — and lives — of two young women who have aged out of the foster care system in a project called Future Bound. This week we ask you — our friends, clients and followers — to assist us in creating a safe and warm home of their very own by donating what you can. These remarkable young ladies are working full time while attending college to start a better life for themselves. Having grown up completely in the foster care system, they have never even owned a new set of sheets — household items that many of us take for granted.

We’ve compiled a preferred donation list and will gladly accept new and gently used items. Gift cards to stores such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Home Goods and Target, as well as monetary donations, are equally welcome. Your donation(s) can be made directly to Transformations of Montgomery County, or you can contact todd@tobedesigngroup to make other arrangements.

With your help and a positive outlook, we can provide the first step for these deserving young women.
